All dogs are welcome at Infinite Pawsibilities Dog Daycare.

Daycare will also be offered for those pets that cannot attend normal daycare due to behavioural issues. Unfortunately when dogs have behavioural issues (lunging at other dogs while on a walk, showing aggression towards another dog whether on leash or not, excessive barking at another dog (or humans)), the owners become a little leary about what to do with them and more often than not, walk them less as a result. Unfortunately, this decision will only create more of the same, and the decreased exercise will only end up intensifying the situation for the next time, as dogs need, first and foremost, lots of exercise to burn the energy out of their bodies before their brain can be accessed to take in any command.

Just as in our classroom, here at the daycare, we will work with behavioural issues to help rehabilitate your dog so they too can eventually be integrated into the regular daycare system. These dogs will be worked with on an individual basis to correct the unwanted behaviours. Once they have been rehabilitated, they will then (and only then) be integrated into the rest of the pack, matching them up for play accordingly.

Many behavioural issues stem from a lack of strong pack leadership, so as we start the process of rehabilitating your dog, we also need to start the process of teaching you, the guardian, to become their pack leader as well, to ensure consistency, as well as lasting effects with your dog’s rehabilitation. This can be accomplished either on a one on one basis (private sessions) or through a group classroom setting.
