Pet Nutrition Classes

Companion Animal Nutrition Course

The objective of this four hour Pet Nutrition Course is to empower participants to be able to make sound choices regarding their companion animal’s food.

We will teach you:

  • the importance of good nutrition for your dog;
  • myths about canine and human food;
  • basic digestive anatomy – what dogs can, can not and can partially digest;
  • common digestive issues related to poor nutrition (allergies, gastric distension, irritable bowel), diseases, and the relationship between the two;
  • ingredients 101 – the good, the bad and the ugly – what’s in YOUR dog food?, ingredients to look for, ingredients to avoid;
  • how to read labels;
  • how to choose the best food for your companion animal;
  • prevention is key;
  • diet transition management

Following this course, participants will be able to use their increased knowledge with confidence to do their own due diligence in choosing the best food for their companion animals, with a goal to ultimately improve the quality and longevity of their pet’s lives.

Please contact us to register or for more information.
